One bowl, few ingredients and this delicious bread is ready in no time.
It’s a super versatile recipe, that can be modified as per preferences and would still taste super !
Don’t like chocolate chips, skip them to make a plain banana bread.
Like Peanut butter, drizzle over warm bread and serve.
Love Nutella, swirl some on the top just before baking.
Want it more chocolatey, reduce the flour by 2tbsp and add in cocoa powder.
You need:
3 Ripe Bananas
75gms Melted Butter
80gms Sugar
1 Egg, whisked
1tsp Vanilla extract
1tsp Baking Soda
192gms all purpose flour (or 1 ½ cup)
50gms Chocolate chips
30gms Walnuts, chopped
How to:
Preheat oven at 170 degree Celsius.
In a large bowl, mash the bananas and stir in the melted butter. Mix well until one.
Stir in the Sugar, egg, Vanilla, Baking soda and flour. You don’t really need a stand mixer or hand blender for this recipe . A simple whisk does the job.
Mix all the ingredients well until batter is well combined. Fold in the chocolate chips and walnuts.
Pour the batter onto a greased loaf pan / disposable loaf liners. Bake for 50mins or so or until done.
If you look at the ingredients, you may think why is it called a bread and not a cake ?
The difference is the texture and feel of the end product.
If you look at the texture of the bread, its very uniformly aerated and dense . It tastes superb too if you toast it and smear some butter and serve.
